A high school senior, eager to explore artistic processes while incorporating elements of nature, ventured into the world of block printing on large wood pieces. Initially experimenting with smaller samples, he ambitiously moved on to print an 8-foot long wood block. Together, we inked the entire wood surface and transferred the design onto a long roll of paper. To enhance the artwork, he added layers of smaller wood blocks inked with various colors, enriching the piece’s texture and visual appeal. His unique creation was displayed at the end-of-year symposium, where he shared his journey and technique with visitors admiring his work.
